2007 Texas Library Association
San Antonio, TX-April 12-April 14, 2007
TLA continues to be known as the "best state show there is".  Everything is big in Texas. Well, their library conference is no exception.  Attendance is consistently over 7,000 librarians and exhibitors. This show attracts all types of librarians but with the primary mix being from school and public libraries.  The exhibit staff does an excellent job of keeping attendees on the exhibit floor. While public librarians are in meetings, school librarians have free time to be at the exhibits, and vice versa. Despite what you may have heard, this show is not only for childrens books.  CBE has a nice assortment of books including reference, novels, academic as well as childrens books. The attendees take their time and look through all of the books. In fact, public librarians have commented how happy they are to see adult level material at our display in all subject areas.
