The seven states that comprise New England are all represented by the New England Library Association (in addition to the few that have their own library associations). While New England may not be the largest region of the US, it does include cities like Boston, Burlington, Portland, Hartford, New Haven, Manchester and other cities that when put together, represent a great cross section of some of the smaller market urban areas in the U.S. With its near 1 thousand members, New England Library Association serves a diverse community. Over 70% of those thousand or so members is comprised just of librarians from public and school libraries, so there's a great chance that the books you show to this audience are going to be seen by the very people who make recommendations directly to patrons--and librarians know what their patrons want. With Sturbridge reigning as the most popular venue for the annual NELA conference (which moves every year within the region), the 2012 conference should be as good as it gets.
