Happy New Year.jpg) I just sent out the last CBE Newsletter of the year, which recapped just some of the stuff we did this year, and it’s no wonder the year flew by so quickly. We were all over the place all the time. It’s a wonder we found time to sleep (and an excuse for slacking here? I won’t pull that…). How did everyone’s holiday turn out? Get any good books? Give any good books? I tried to include books for applicable friends and family, like Sabuda’s “Narnia” pop-up, “The Drawings of Superbad,” lots of comics, and some other stuff. It felt great to give books—especially because I bought most of them at my local shop (along with some toys too—everyone should get at least a few toys for the holidays). The pending New Year is exciting, hopefully more so for the good then the bad. We still haven’t settled this economy, and as an industry, we’re not entirely sure where we’re headed. This digital publishing thing…ever heard of it? It’s picking up lots of steam, with digital profits rising almost across the board. Is it the end of traditional publishing? Or is it a new age for all publishing. Like I said, it’s pretty exciting, and I can’t wait to experience it all. So until then, have a great New Year’s Eve, and be safe!
