Not Enough Hours in the DayWhat a week of catch up I’m trying to have. I don’t have the time currently to write about everything I have to say, but boy do I have a ton to say. So here’s a quick preview: New York Comic Con was amazing! Without touching on every single great thing I got to do, I really, from the bottom of my heart, want to thank and congratulate the entire Comic Con team that put on a show beyond my wildest dreams (and on day over lunch, I laid them out for the Comic Con team, so there were no secrets there!). Aside from all of the “geeky” stuff I, and all of the other attendees, got to partake in, there’s actually quite a bit to learn from not only the business done at Comic Con, but a lot of the panels. One in particular that I attended, regarding comic (and to a lesser extent, general book) sales during the current financial climate was incredibly informative, and I’ll give a full recap either here, or in the next CBE Newsletter. Now, the NYCC team might have worked their tails off this weekend, but there’s no rest for the wicked. While their Canadian counterpart announced its cancellation last week, the staff of Bookexpo America (many of whom are on the Comic Con team)announced some major changes for their upcoming fairs. I can see a few positives and negatives with the announcement. All that and more coming soon! Including a HUGE announcement in the coming two weeks or so. So stay tuned! Ok? Please!?
