The Association of College and Research Libraries is one of the larger sub-divisions of the American Library Association, accounting for approximately 20% of all ALA members with over 12 thousand. Because the ACRL meeting is held only once every two years, each one is exciting in its own right, and particularly useful. In 2009, over 3 thousand attended in Seattle, and with the move to Philadelphia--a city known for great attendance because of its own population and its proximity to other high-populace areas like New York, Washington, DC, Baltimore and others--2011 is expected to see a jump in attendance. Combining the expected increase of attendance, the fact that the average budget attendees have is over $1.5 million, and that Combined Book Exhibit is located in a high traffic area and will include an exhibit of Choice Magazine's Outstanding Academic Title Award Winners (Choice Magazine is the official publication of the Association of College and Research Libraries), you can expect a lot of exposure for the titles you choose to market with Combined Book Exhibit.
