Once upon a time, Ohio was the darling of the library community: a state that funded libraries well, and a library community that put in unprecedented effort towards making their libraries better for their patrons and the communities they serve. Then, there was a lull, where the economy and new legislation acted as a "double wammy: against libraries. But now, here we are in preparation for the 2012 Ohio Library Council trade show, which is reinvigorated with new funding, including nearly 250 million dollars in "rainy day funding" from the state government, and a sparked base ready to find new books and products at the 2012 OHLC!
