If you’re displaying a book with us and receive an email with a book promo graphic, there’s a great way to personalize that graphic for use on your social media! Below read our simple tutorial to make the most out of your book display!
Before we begin, save the template picture from the newsletter (pictured above) or scroll to the end of this tutorial for a full sized version you can download. Once you save the picture to your computer continue on to step 1.
Step 1: Go to the online photo editing site Picmonkey.com
Step 2: Click on the Edit option and choose the Computer option. Open the file you saved from the beginning of the tutorial.
Your view should look like this.
Step 3: Click on the butterfly icon from the menu on the left hand side.
Step 4: Click on the “Your Own” option above to import your book cover.
Step 5: Choose your book cover and place it wherever you like on the page, resize using the white borders around the picture.
Step 6: In order to make the cover bigger, I will place it on the left hand side of the photo. This will also give us room to add additional text.
Step 7: Select the Tt symbol and choose a font that is easy to read. Once you’ve selected your font click on the space next to your cover and type a book description or anything else you’d like to add. I would suggest not overloading the area with text otherwise it might make the graphic look cluttered.
Step 8: Add your website below if you’d like. I used a more basic font for the website text.
Step 9: Save your creation and you are done!
This is the final product! Make your own using your book cover and save on your social media before BEA!
Use the photo below for your own promo graphic.
